HRH Provides a Network of Support for Those in Need

Food Pantry

Located in the basement of the Sacred Hearts Church School Building

168 Hill St. Southampton

Open M-W-F, 10am-12pm
HRH operates the largest food distribution program on eastern Long Island with over 350 families enrolled. We offer non-perishable food staples as well as fresh produce from local farms. Most of the food is purchased, but we also receive donated food from LI Cares, community food drives and private donations.

Clothing Room
Located in basement of the Sacred Hearts Church School Building,

168 Hill St. Southampton

Open M-W-Th-F, 10am-12pm

Our Clothing Room is the only local facility providing free, quality used clothing

for families in need. The Southampton Rotary Club does a winter coat drive

and donates 30-50 coats every year. Clothing donations may be dropped off any time the clothing room is open.

Emergency Assistance
Emergency funds for rental assistance, catastrophic illnesses, accidents or fires, medical prescriptions and medical equipment are provided. Emergency heating fuel, automobile fuel and other emergency needs are also available. All assistance is on a case-by-case basis, and is always provided with respect for our clients’ privacy and dignity.

Holiday Giving

In November, our registered Food Pantry clients receive a turkey, fresh fruit, vegetables and the trimmings for a holiday meal. In December, each household receives a food box, plus a toy and new clothing for each child in the family. We do everything we can to bring some relief and happiness to families who struggle during the holiday season. The Holiday Giving outreach is operated with the help of more than 120 volunteers.

Serving our Seniors

We provide a helping hand for small maintenance and repair jobs that often pose insurmountable problems for seniors living on fixed or little income. Tasks such as house repairs, snow removal, and appliance maintenance can be taken care of at no cost or a reduced cost.

Wednesday Meals

HRH delivers a hot, home-cooked meal once a week on Wednesdays to the elderly, sick and/or homebound. Volunteers deliver the meals to the homes of 25-30 community residents.

Back Pack Kids

HRH recognizes how important it is for a child to start the first day of school with confidence. Working with school administrators and social workers at the local elementary and middle school, we provide gift cards to stores at Tanger Outlet Mall for school supplies and clothing.

In addition to these services, HRH also connects people in need with resources and counseling for health care, child abuse, housing, job loss, and personal crisis. We provide guidance, advocacy and a helping hand, always with dignity and respect for personal privacy.
